Seyed Hossein Chavoshi
Currently, I am working as a doctoral researcher at the Department of Geography, University of Ghent. My current research project, funded by BOF, directed by Prof. Dr. Nico Van de Weghe, Prof.Dr. Bernard De Baets, and Prof. Dr. Guy De Tré, is on analyzing moving objects in different contexts to extract informative patterns from the movements. The general aim of this research is to reach the high level information (hidden movement patterns) from the low level data of moving objects (trajectories). For this purpose, Qualitative Trajectory Calculus (QTC) is applied as a calculus to represents and reasons about moving point objects.
My research interests are mainly in the field of Geographical Information Science, with a specific focus on geographic knowledge discovery, representing, analysing and reasoning about moving objects.
